Scripps signs up Channel 4 shows
Scripps Networks International has acquired a package of British-themed programmes to its global Food Network and Travel Channel stations.
Food Network will get eight shows including Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals and How to Cook Like Heston, while Travel Channel will air A Place in the Sun and Celebrity Coach Trip.
SNI’s Steve Fright and Kathy Fairbairn brokered the three-year, ten series deal with Channel 4 rights consultant Barbara Bellini. The shows will go out throughout 2014.
“Through deals like this one we are delivering value back to producers and generating revenue we can reinvest into programming,” said Laurence Dawkin-Jones, Channel 4’s director of commercial and business development.
