Viasat unveils Runway in My Closet with Armoza
European broadcaster Viasat has commissioned a competitive fashion reality format through a co-development venture with Israel’s Armoza Formats.
Runway in My Closet will broadcast on Hungarian channel Viasat3 and launch to the international market at MIPTV via Armoza.
Format development was supported through Viasat’s parent Modern Times Group, which operates an original content development initiative titled Angel Fund.
The show sees designers competing to turn shabby and worn outfits into fashionable items for everyday people. “The amateur and semi-professional designers competition aims to entertain the audience and also give ideas on how to make a worn outfit into a stylish dress – in a cost effective way,” said Viasat3’s programme director Marika Németh.
For Armoza, Runway in My Closet is the latest format it has co-developed with an international broadcaster, coming after I Can Do That (with China’s JSBC) and Do Me a Favour (with Argentina’s Telefe).
