Electus hires NBCU exec for reality role
US-based Electus has hired Jessica Sebastian for a new unscripted TV role.
Sebastian will be VP, unscripted television at the IAC-backed producer and distributor, which is helmed by Ben Silverman.
Sebastian, who has started in the new role already, joins from soon to close NBCUniversal channel Style and will develop, direct and produce reality shows in her new role.
She will report to Corie Henson, executive VP of unscripted at Electus, who said: “Jessica has been a producer, a developer and a buyer, plus she has amazing relationships with some of the most influential brands in the industry. Jessica will be integral as Electus ramps up internal development and continues to build our unscripted business.”
At Style Sebastian worked on series including Rihanna’s Styled to Rock. Prior to Style she was VP, development at Original Media, where she was a showrunner for Bravo’s The Rachel Zoe Project, in addition to serving as exec producer on Be Good Johnny Weir and the UK version of The Soup.
