Nets get Magic Hockey Skates for Xmas

Canadian-produced Christmas holiday special The Magic Hockey Skates has sold to broadcasters in Latin American and Europe.

The Entertainment One Family-produced animated primetime programme has gone to Disney XD in Latin America, Societe Radio in Canada, Teletoon in France, RTS in Switzerland, NRK in Norway, Chello Central Europe and RTE in Ireland.

Magic Hockey Skates is based on Allan Morgan’s children’s book of the same name and is billed as “one young boy’s inspirational journey as he gains confidence and self-respect with a little help from a pair of magic skates”.

The channels will include the show – which comes from Canadian pubcaster CBC, Amberwood Entertainment and the Canada Media Fund – in their Christmas schedules.
