Broadcasters buy new David Attenborough series
Atlantic Productions has sold its two-part documentary David Attenborough’s Rise of Animals: Triumph of the Vertebrates to a host of broadcasters.
National Geographic Channels International, ABC in Australia and TVNZ have acquired the show, which was originally commissioned by the BBC in the UK.
The two-parter looks at the evolution of vertebrates, taking in key paleontological sites and looking at various species in detail.
John Morris, commercial director at Atlantic said: “The story of how vertebrates evolved is truly fascinating and we are thrilled to be taking this series to new audiences globally through key deals with NGCI, ABC Australia and TNVZ. We look forward to securing further broadcast partners at MIPCOM.”
