Numb3rs set for CBS Action

US procedural drama Numb3rs has been acquired by a CBS-branded pay TV channel for its autumn schedule.

CBS Action, one of the CBS Chello Zone UK joint venture channels, has acquired the show, which broadcast for five seasons on CBS in the UK between 2005 and 2010. Universal Channel acquired the series last year for its UK feed.

The drama follows the relationship of an FBI agent played by Rob Morrow and his mathematical genius brother (David Krumholtz), who work together to solve crimes.

Seasons one and two of the show will comprise part of CBS Action’s autumn line-up, which will also debut the fourth season of Showtime hit Dexter and premiere seasons one and two of HBO period crime drama Deadwood.

Sister channel CBS Drama will broadcast the entire five season of classic ABC and NBC comedy series Taxi, which stars Danny DeVito as an abusive cab dispatcher.
