Fox International making original cooking series East Bites West

Fox International Channels is making East Bites West, an original cooking series fronted by Chef Wan in which the Malaysian cook will attempt to persuade Westerners to shun processed food in favour of freshly prepared south east Asian dishes.

Chef Wan – aka ‘Doc Wok’ – is well-known throughout Asian and, concerned about the arrival of western junk food in the region where he lives, will travel to Europe to address the problem.

His first port of call will be the UK where the series will be produced. FIC is making it in-house and it will go out on its cooking and lifestyle channel 24Kitchen channel, which is carried in The Netherlands, Portugal, Turkey, Bulgaria and Balkans and Finland.

Outside of these territories it will be on other FIC channels including NG Adventure and Fox Traveller in Asia and Utilisima in Latin America.

The series will be made in-house by FIC.
