Eyeworks makes a Splash in South Korea
Eyeworks’ diving format Celebrity Splash is to launch in another territory, this time South Korea on broadcaster MBC.
The new series will comprise 10 episodes and be produced by local prodco SM C&C. it will launch in the territory in August.
The show, which launched in the Netherlands on SBS6 has also sold into France on TF1, the US on ABC, China on Zhejiang Satellite TV, Finland on Nelonen, the Middle East on LBCI, Spain on Antena Tres, Portugal on SIC, Argentina on Telefe, Australia on Seven Network and UK on ITV.
New versions are in production in Belgium for VTM, Ukraine for 1+1, Lithuania for TV3 and Romania for Antena.
The show remains the subject of controversy, with Banijay International shopping a similar celebrity diving series Stars in Danger, which launches before Celebrity Splash, to numerous territories. Banijay brought a case against Eyeworks last year.
