News brief: Syfy closing Warehouse 13

Syfy has said its flagship original series Warehouse 13 will come to an end after its fifth season.

The cable network has ordered a new six-episode series of the show, which will be its last.

The series is filmed in Toronto and produced by Universal Cable Productions. It follows a group of government agents working at a top secret facility that contains various supernatural objects and artifacts.

The final season will go into production this summer. In the US Syfy currently shows the series in a Monday 10pm slots, following its new series Defiance.
