Warner Bros. investing in UK TV, creative industries training
Hollywood studio Warner Bros. is launching a range of skills and training initiatives in the UK to coincide with the inauguration of its new production complex in Leavesden, Hertfordshire.
Under the Warner Bros. Creative Talent banner, the major will launch scholarships attached to work placements at Leavesden and elsewhere and mentoring, apprenticeships and training courses across the TV, film, games and theaters sector.
Specifically, the range of training and skills-related programmes includes twelve scholarships, six apprenticeships and twenty work experience places.
Josh Berger, president & managing director, Warner Bros. UK, Ireland & Spain, said, “It is crucially important to us to invest in the next generation, so that we not only have a diverse pool of exceptional talent to work with, but that we also play our part in maintaining the UK’s position as a global creative industries leader.”
The Studio complex will be opened in September but The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry will inaugurate the complex today.
