Miramax poaches Netflix, FremantleMedia and BT execs
US studio Miramax has hired new sales executives for the EMEA region and the digital sector, bringing in new recruits from FremantleMedia, Netflix and UK telco BT.
Richard Tulk-Hart joins from FremantleMedia and will be senior VP, head of TV sales, EMEA. He will be based in London and report to Joe Patrick, Miramax’s executive VP, worldwide television. Jo Sherlock becomes VP, TV sales, reporting to Tulk-Hart, having joined from BT.
On the digital side of Miramax’s business, Emily Briggs has joined as VP, digital sales. She joins from streaming service Netflix, where she was director of acquisitions and will report directly to Beth Minehart, executive VP, global digital. She will be based in Miramax’s Santa Monica offices.
Minehart said: “Miramax also remains deeply focused on working with digital platforms, which continue to grow and present unmatched opportunities for our content, and we welcome Emily, who brings strong acumen in this dynamic space.”
Both Patrick and Minehart were upped at Miramax earlier this year.
