Keshet International heads to Cannes with new formats
Israeli distributor Keshet International is taking a raft of new formats to MIPCOM to sit alongside its successful scripted series including the original version of Homeland.
The company, which is the global sales arm of the Keshet Media Group, will launch Marathon, Fair & Square and Checkout in Cannes.
Marathon is a primetime reality format that sees five people with no athletic background are forced to run a marathon. It will launch on Channel 2 in Israel in 2013.
Fair & Square is a factual entertainment series that pits a number of consumer services against each other. The show is back after a few years off the air.
Meanwhile, gameshow Checkout combines shopping with the art of staying within budget.
These formats will sit alongside its successful slate of dramas including Prisoners of War, which has been a huge hit in the States on Showtime, and Traffic Light.
Keshet International MD Alon Shtruzman said: “We’re delighted to bring our slate of high quality formats to the international market at Mipcom. Israeli formats have become a hot property over recent years and the continued success and critical acclaim of hits including Prisoners of War, The Vault, Master Class and Traffic Light is testament to the innovation and creativity coming out of Keshet and out of the country.”
