Seventh tour of duty for Army Wives
US cable net Lifetime has ordered a seventh season of Army Wives.
The drama series is produced by ABC Studios and follows a group of women living on an army base.
The sixth season has just finished and averaged 3.2 million viewers for Lifetime.
The new season will debut next year, Rob Sharenow, executive VP, programming at Lifetime said when announcing the re-order.
The show is based on the Tanya Biank’s novel Army Wives: The Unwritten Code of Military Marriage.
