HBO Poland poaches TVN exec to head original production

HBO Poland has poached former TVN executive Izabela Lopuch to become head of original production.

Lopuch was a producer in TVN’s drama and features department, having previously been promoted from head of development at the commercial broadcaster. She was one of the producers of Polish hit feature Letters to Santa.

This comes a year after HBO Central Europe hired former Sony Pictures Television executive Anthony Root to become executive vice president, original programming and production.

“I am delighted to welcome Izabela to HBO. Her experience, creative taste and strong relationships will be invaluable as we continue to grow our original drama and documentary output in Poland,” said Root.
