M6 renews CBS output deal
French commercial broadcaster M6 has renewed its output deal with Hollywood studio CBS Studios International.
The move will give M6 access to all of CBS’ latest slate of programming and movies as well as series in forthcoming years.
CBS Studios International’s latest raft of series includes Sarah Michelle Gellar-fronted drama Ringer, cop drama The 2-2, sitcom How To Be A Gentleman and medical drama A Gifted Man.
M6 originally struck an output deal with the international division of the US broadcaster in 2003 with the acquisition of NCIS and has also found success with shows including Medium, Numb3rs, The Good Wife and Hawaii Five-O.
Nicolas de Tavernost, chairman of the executive group of M6, said: “I am confident that CBS Studios International will continue to provide the M6 Group with the top quality programming that has helped us build a strong and competitive network.”
