US Cable Upfronts 2011: WEtv

WEtv, the Rainbow Media-owned US cable network, is to launch three original series and has renewed its Toni Braxton-fronted ratings hit as part of its latest upfronts.

The female skewing broadcaster is launching 6x1hr reality series Amsale Girls, which is produced by Authentic Entertainment and follows the staff at the expensive eponymous bridal store; 8x1hr reality series Texas Multi Mamas, which is produced by Shed Media and follows a group of mothers that have had multiple kids at once; and The Willis Clan, a 61hr series produced by Rivr Media that follows the 12-strong Willis family.

The network has also renewed Magical Elves-produced Braxton Family Values, which stars Toni Braxton, for a second season, and has also given The Cupcake Girls a second season.

This follows the announcement of series including Nancy Glass Productions’ Staten Island Cakes, Pie Town Productions’ Downsized, Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best and Ish Entertainment’s Fix My Family.
