Warner Bros. and Televisa renew programming deal
US studio Warner Bros. and Mexican media giant Televisa have renewed a long-running programming deal. The agreement gives Televisa a raft of Warner Bros. TV series and movies.
Televisa gets free-to-air right to TV series including The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Gossip Girl, Fringe, Human Target, The Vampire Diaries, The Mentalist and V among others.
Movie titles include the upcoming Harry Potter features and The Dark Knight franchise.
The partners did not specify the length of the deal, but said it ran for several years.
“We value our long-standing relationship with WBITD, and this deal clearly exemplifies the power of matching great content with great distribution. We are pleased to have concluded a long-term deal to keep entertaining our audiences,” said Televisa’s vice president of programming, Alberto Ciurana.
