Target announces first deals since Metrodome takeover
UK-based producer distributor Target Entertainment has announced its first deals since being bought by Metrodome – taking international rights to a reality series with Donald Trump and a UK period drama series.
Donald J. Trump Presents: The Ultimate Merger is a 1x90mins and 7x60mins unscripted show in which the billionaire helps The Apprentice winner Omarosa find a man by grilling an array of suitors. The Apprentice-meets-The Bachelorette series airs on US cable channel TV One. It is produced by Juma Entertainment and Trump Productions.
The Indian Doctor meanwhile, is a UK drama series set in the 60s about Dr Prem, an Indian doctor who moves to Wales from the Indian sub-continent. The show, which is produced by Rondo Media and Avatar Films and will air on BBC1 in the UK.
The deals are the first from Target since it was acquired by film distributor Metrodome last month after running into financial difficulty.
