Electus launches DumbDumb shorts
Electus, the production company run by former NBC boss Ben Silverman, has launched the first sponsored series to come out of its deal with Arrested Development’s Jason Bateman and Will Arnett.
Electus inked a content deal with Arnett and Bateman’s DumbDumb studio to create The Prom Date in association with Wrigley’s gum brand Orbit. The first clip, which airs on online video site YouTube, looks at the “dirty world of student and teacher dating and how the parents of the student involved react”.
The IAC-backed company struck number of content deals earlier this year including an agreement with Yahoo! to provide content for a range of its sites and content partnerships with Fisher Stevens, who produced documentary The Cove, and Ugly Betty star America Ferrera to create MTV novela Pedro & Maria.
