RTL renews NBCU deal
German commercial broadcaster RTL has renewed its output deal with NBC Universal International Television Distribution, the sales arm of the US studio.
The deal will give Germany’s leading broadcaster access to a range of new blockbuster movies, NBC Universal’s latest TV series and a range of classic shows. Movies will include Quentin Tarantino’sInglourious Basterds, Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest comedy Bruno and Will Ferrell’s latest hit Land of the Lost.
The agreement will also include a number of shows from NBC Universal’s latest selection of network and cable pick ups. Although no final decision has been made, shows are likely to include 100 Questions, Day One and Trauma.
RTL already airs a number of NBC Universal series including House and Monk and these shows will also continue to be included in the arrangement.
