ShineReveille to sell Superstars of Dance
ShineReveille International, the worldwide distributor owned by Lis Murdoch’s Shine Group, has inked a deal to distribute NBC’s latest hit dance series Superstars of Dance.
The show is produced by Nigel Lythgoe and Simon Fuller’s new production company Big Red Two along with 19 Entertainment.
ShineReveille International will start the selling the series, which has already been sold to Australian commercial broadcaster Nine Network, at this month’s NATPE.
Superstars of Dance is an Olympics-style series that pits various international dance crews against each and will be hosted by Riverdance’s Michael Flatley. It started strongly on US network NBC where its first episode attracted more than 10 million viewers.
Lythgoe recently told TBIvision: "It’s an entertainment show and a very simple format; you’ll see Irish Riverdancers versus the Shaolin Monks with the South African gumboot dancers."
He added: "Superstars of Dance is the first production out of our own production company that Simon and I have set up called Big Red Two. This is only the first project."
