New TeeVee Live: Alexander expected to discuss new pilot
Former Heroes producer Jess Alexander is prepping his latest project, which he says will be an internationally friendly episodic drama with digital spin offs.
Co-exec producer Alexander, along with colleague Jeph Loeb, was fired earlier this month from the Universal Media Studio-produced sci fi series as network NBC battles with a ratings challenge.
However, he says that is already eyeing a new series. "I’ve been busy scribbling the pilot for a new show. Setting up my home office. Trying not to play Gears of War 2 and Fable 2 on my XBOX," he blogged.
Although details are sparse, he adds: "Episodic stories with sensational cliffhanger act outs. An ensemble cast with a broad appeal for both national and international audiences. Transmedia content that stems from the DNA of the show’s core concept."
Alexander is expected to discuss further details of the new project at New TeeVee Live, a conference organised by the GigaOm-owned digital production blog. Other speakers include CSI creator Anthony Zuiker and Jason Kilar, CEO of hit online video site Hulu.
