TVNZ content boss resigns
Jeff Latch has resigned as content director at TVNZ.
He had been at the Kiwi pubcaster for 23 years and will leave in July.
Latch has been content director for ten of those years and TVNZ confirmed his resignation in a statement yesterday.
The broadcaster, which commands a 45% viewing share, noted Latch had concluded deals with international content companies Disney, Warner Bros., BBC Worldwide, ITV Studios, Endemol Shine Group and FremantleMedia during his tenure.
“It’s been an enormous privilege to lead the TVNZ Content team and to work for TVNZ in a variety of senior roles for over 23 years,” Latch said. “I wish the company all the very best for the future.”
The outgoing exec gave no hint as to his next move, but the announcement of his exit comes ahead of restructuring at TVNZ, which will result in an as-yet-unspecified number of job losses.
