Amazon Studios, MTG bosses to keynote MIPTV
Amazon Studios content chief Roy Price and MTG president and CEO Jørgen Madsen Lindemann are to deliver Media Mastermind keynotes at MIPTV next month.
Both will address creating compelling content for audiences in a changing digital landscape.
Along with Netflix, Amazon has led the disruption that subscription VOD has incurred on traditional broadcasting, while MTG has switched its business model away from advertising revenues towards a digital-first entertainment strategy.
Price will talk about how Amazon’s Hollywood studio has produced influential shows such as Transparent and The Grand Tour for an Amazon Prime Video service that operates in 200 territories.
Lindemann will reveal secrets about transforming MTG from a European broadcaster into a digital company, and what new and changing consumer behavior means for media and storytelling.
Both keynotes will take place on Monday, April 3 at the Cannes, France marketplace.
“Content and the ability to adapt storytelling to meet changing consumer demands and practices, is central to the success of the entertainment industry,” Laurine Garaude, director of MIPTV organiser Reed MIDEM’s television division.
“Jørgen Madsen Lindemann and Roy Price are two of the most knowledgeable executives in the business of content creation in the digital era and sharing their experiences with delegates will be a highlight of MIPTV.”
