A+E hires Korea boss from Twitter
A+E Networks has hired a South Korea country chief from Twitter.
Youngsun Soh will oversee the channel operator’s operations in the country, which are now wholly owned by the US firm.
She will oversee ad sales, content strategy and branding from the Korean capital Seoul.
At Twitter Soh was market director, overseeing business development and market growth. She joined the social media network from the Asian division of BBC Worldwide.
She has also worked for the BBC in London and the UK Trade and Industry office in Seoul.
At her new firm she will report to A+E Networks general manager, North Asia Saugato Banerjee.
Speaking about the Korea hire, Edward Sabin, executive managing director, international, A+E Networks, said: “Her vast experience with global brands in broadcast and digital, together with her proven acumen for establishing meaningful partnerships in the technology sector, are certain to further our vision for growth throughout the Korean marketplace.”
