NBCU hands Stotsky E! president post
NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment has handed Esquire Network president Adam Stotsky control of celebrity-focused channel E!.
Stotsky has been named president, E! Entertainment, a role he will fulfil alongside his current duties at Esquire.
This comes soon after Chris McCumber was named atop a new NBCU Entertainment Networks division, which comprises a number of Stotsky’s former channels, and also after the formation of the NBCU Lifestyle Networks Group last year.
Stotsky has been general manager of Keeping Up with the Kardashians network E!, which is part of Frances Berwick’s lifestyle networks division, since 2014, during which time it has seen a number of ratings boosts.
Before his Esquire post, he was general manager of the now-defunct G4 channel, and has serviced as president of marketing at NBC Entertainment.
He also held senior posts as another NBCU network, Syfy, between 2001 and 2008.
“Adam is an exceptional senior executive who has been successful in leading the teams at E! and Esquire Network and setting their strategic direction for future growth,” said Berwick.
“I am excited to announce his well-deserved promotion and expand his responsibilities at E! as we continue to build on our success as a multiplatform powerhouse offering exclusive access to celebrity lifestyles and the world of entertainment.”
Stotsky will report to Berwick, who is officially president, lifestyle networks at NBCU Cable Entertainment.
