Cineflix Rights has secured rights to sell programming from US cable channel Pivot.
The catalogue deal covers more than 40 hours, including the Emmy-winning Hit Record TV (pictured), which is from Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer), Brian Graden Media and hitRECord.
Other shows include Secret Lives of Americans, a 10x30mins series from All3Media America and its subsidiary MME/Filmpool USA; Human Resources, which is from Left/Right; and Ars Nova-produced Freestyle Love.
Pivot is part of the Participant Media stable, which has recently been seeking to expand its international presence.
“Pivot has established a strong identity and we’re thrilled to be distributing their slate of entertaining and informative programming to an international audience” said Cineflix Media’s CEO, rights, Chris Bonney. “We’re looking forward to building on the synergies between Cineflix, Pivot and Participant Media through this deal.”
Cineflix Rights’s VP, coproductions and North American acquisitions, Anthony Kimble brokered the deal with Pivot exec Jerry Blake.
“Pivot has been successful in telling entertaining and compelling stories across a wide range of genres that really transcends borders,” said Pivot general manager Kent Rees. “We’re pleased to join with Cineflix and offer our programming to international audiences.”
