Davidson exits A+E UK, new boss named
Tom Davidson is stepping down as managing director of A+E Networks UK as part of a management restructure.
Dean Possenniskie (below right), A+E’s MD of EMEA, will succeed him, effective next Monday, July 20.
Posseniskie is currently a board member of A+E and Sky joint venture A+E UK and will continue with this duties after taking the new job.
“On behalf of A+E Networks and Sky, we thank Tom for his commitment and leadership during his successful tenure with the venture,” said Possenniskie.
Davdison (above left) has been MD of A+E UK, which operates the UK History Channel among other networks, for seven years. During this the firm has launched channel brand such as Lifetime and H2 in the territory.
In January, he promoted Heather Jones to become general manager of A+E UK’s channel brands.
“It has been a great pleasure to lead the venture over the past seven years through a period of high growth. I am sure the company will continue to grow and succeed under Dean’s leadership and I wish the best for the global A+E Networks family in the future,” said Davidson.
A+E UK currently operates 18 channels across the UK, Nordic, Benelux, central European, the Middle East and African regions. It has offices in London, Copenhagen, Warsaw and Johannesburg.
“I look forward to working with the talented team at A+E Networks UK to drive further growth in the UK and our other key territories,” added Posseniskie.
