Channel 4’s Dates attracts The CW
US broadcast network The CW has bought British comedy Dates.
The show, in which each episode focuses on two people on a first date that met via an online dating site, comes from indie Balloon (Dates) Ltd., and has Entertainment One attached as distributor.
In the UK, it ran on terrestrial network Channel 4.
The CW has also ordered an unscripted series from Storage Hunters prodco T Group Productions
A Wicked Offer will see couples “presented with a series of Faustian bargains” that see them win them cash prizes if they agree to pull a series of controversial tasks on their friends and family. Air-dates for both shows will follow at a later date.
