Netflix unveils slate of stand-up comedy originals
Netflix will show original comedy specials from Bill Cosby, Jim Jeffries, Chelsea Peretti and Bill Burr as its original programming drive moves into the stand-up arena.
The quartet of newly-announced special will sit alongside another from Chelsea Handler, entitled Uganda Be Kidding Me Live, which has already been announced.
The stand-up shows from the American comics will launch in the US and across all of Netflix’s international streaming services. Chelsea Handler’s show will launch October 10. Handler is also working on a live talkshow for Netflix, the first for the US-listed streaming service.
Cosby’s show, Bill Cosby 77, filmed in San Francisco on the actor and comic’s 77th birthday and debuts on Netflix on November 28. Perretti’s One of the Greats show, also filmed in San Francisco, launches on November 14.
Jim Jefferies: Bare, filmed in Boston, will debut on August 29 on Netflix and sit alongside three other stand-up shows already on the service.
Bill Burr’s I’m Sorry You Feel That Way show, filmed in Atlanta, launches on December 5. It will be the comedian’s third show available on Netflix.
