Todd Miller leaving Sony Pictures Television

Sony Pictures Television’s Asian channels boss, Todd Miller, will leave the company next month. Miller is an SPT veteran of almost 17 years and said he is taking an extended sabbatical.

The Sony exec will leave the company on April 15. On his watch SPT has recently launched the ONE channel in Malaysia and inked a deal with CU Media that paves the way for expansion in the Korean market. The channels he oversaw in Asia included AXN, Animax and Sony Entertainment Television.

Miller said: “After helping SPT build and operate winning businesses in Asia for nearly 17 years, and with Sony’s networks on top in Asia, this is the right time for me to take an extended sabbatical from the corporate world.  I plan to focus on family, to deepen my involvement with Asian children charities, and do some more cycling in my quest to ultimately circumnavigate the planet on two wheels.”

Miller’s boss, Andy Kaplan, president, networks, SPT said: “Todd has brilliantly guided our networks business in Asia-Pacific and made a tremendous contribution to the company.”
