Skybound Entertainment, the US prodco behind The Walking Dead, is setting up an unscripted division to be headed up by Catalina Content’s Brent Jacoby, and has hired MGM exec Chris Goble to the newly created role of SVP of television.

The new division will look to create unscripted shows around existing Skybound IP such as AMC zombie apocalypse franchise The Walking Dead and Amazon Prime Video superhero animation Invincible.

Jacoby joins Skybound from Sky Studios-backed Catalina Content, where he developed shows including The Mighty Underdogs for Discovery+. Before that, he headed up development at ITV America label Outpost Entertainment.

Also joining Skybound at this time is MGM TV VP Chris Goble, who is taking on the newly created role of SVP of TV. Most recently, he served at Amazon Prime Video, following its merger with MGM, where he oversaw Ed Brubaker’s Criminal, and previously worked on MGM movie titles such as Robocop.

Both Jacoby and Goble will report to Skybound TV president Glenn Geller.
