Kanal 7 renews ‘Winds Of Love’

Turkish broadcaster Kanal 7 has renewed drama series Winds Of Love for a second season.

The show, which is distributed by Eccho Rights, will launch in September 2024.

The first season (140 x 45-minutes) premiered in January and tells the story of Halil, a man fueled by the flames of revenge after his family’s honour is shattered and their home stolen by the treacherous Aslanlı Family.

Season two (278 x 45-minutes) follows Halil and Zeynep’s romance, against a backdrop of new challenges and old enemies.

“We first brought Winds Of Love to the international market at Content Americas in January, and saw a great reception for the series. Since then the title has gone from strength to strength in Turkey, as well as garnering a lot of international interest so we are delighted to see Kanal 7 committing to a renewal so early,” said Handan Özkubat, director of Turkish drama at Eccho Rights.

Alexi Hawley is creator and executive producer. Mark Gordon, Nathan Fillion, Michelle Chapman, Bill Norcross and Brynn Malone are executive producers on the series. The Rookie is produced by Lionsgate Television in partnership with ABC Signature.
