Acorn TV in US & France’s Polar+ pick up Israeli crime drama ‘The Truth’

Acorn TV in North America and Australia is among companies to have picked up Israeli crime drama The Truth.

The 8 x 52-minute series, which is sold by About Premium Content (APC), has also been acquired by Be TV for French-speaking Belgium and Polar+ in France.

The series is produced by Endemol Shine Israel, Elvie Productions and Place du Marché Productions for Israel’s Kan11.

The Truth was created by Dror Misha’ani (The Missing File), Idit Avrahami (H2: The Occupation Lab) and writers Aurit Zamir (Babysitter) and Daphna Levin (Euphoria).

It explores what happens when, on the same day that the most controversial murder case in Israel is to be given a highly anticipated final verdict, another identical murder takes place.
