ITV Studios-owned Twofour has restructured its factual, entertainment and reality teams by hiring 007: Road To A Million producer Karen Hudson and The Circle exec Dan Grey.

Hudson joins as head of production, with a remit across entertainment, reality, fact ent and documentary, while Gray has been named executive producer of reality and entertainment.

Elsewhere, docs and reality exec David Clews has been named chief creative director with a focus on nurturing documentary output and relationships with streamers, while Shireen Abbott has been promoted to director of production & operations.

She has overall responsibility for production with a focus on “logistically ambitious” formats, as well as taking on leadership of operational and commercial strategy.

Hudson, who also has credits on The Grand Tour, reports into Abbott as will Twofour’s executive-in-charge of production, Lily Fitzpatrick, who has delivered the Reluctant Traveller alongside Nic Patten, who has been upped to creative director.

The moves follows a shift in strategy four years ago that saw Twofour CEO Tim Carter hire execs including chief creative officer David Brindley and MD Dan Adamson to build a new slate of returnable factual, entertainment and reality formats in the UK and globally.

Shows on the slate now include I Kissed A Boy/I Kissed A Girl for the BBC, ITV Studios’ first unscripted series for Apple TV+, The Reluctant Traveller, and ITVX’s first reality series commission, Loaded in Paradise. All were recommissioned.

Carter said: “After immense work from everyone at Twofour, we’ve reached a thrilling and decisive moment in our growth. We now have the talent and structure to propel Twofour into that select group of companies trusted to deliver television’s biggest shows.”

All appointments are with immediate effect.
