Dori’s ‘Power Couple’ heads to Nordics following Banijay deal

Banijay Nordic has picked up format rights to unscripted show Power Couple, following a deal with Israel’s Dori Media Group (DMG).

The show will be remade for in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway, although broadcaster/streamer details have not been revealed.

Power Couple, which first debuted in 2014 in Israel on Reshet, has also been renewed for a ninth season by RTL in Germany (where the show is known as Das Sommerhaus Der Stars), with a spin-off with non-celebrity couples also in the works. The spin-off will run on RTL+.

RTL has also ordered an eighth season in Hungary and a fifth season in Croatia, while a third run is set to air on Slovenia’s Pop TV and a second has been ordered for Antena in Romania.

Power Couple, which was created by Abot Hameiri, sees couples move into one villa together and compete as a unit to become the ‘Power Couple’.
