News round-up: ‘Alone’ enters Germany; Streamers snag ZDF Studios shows

A+E’s Alone enters Germany

RTL+ in Germany has ordered a local version of A+E Media Group’s format Alone.

Alone: Überlebe Die Wildnis, which will be produced by ITV Studios Germany, follows a second season order of Alone Australia, which will be available on SBS Australia and also produced by ITVS.

SBS also picked up the first season of Alone’s most recent commission, Alone UK, along with TVNZ+ in New Zealand, and The History Channel in the US.

Alone began airing on the History Channel in 2015 and has run for ten seasons, produced by ITVS-owned Leftfield Pictures.
