Entertainment One (eOne)’s unscripted chief Tara Long is leaving the company after a decade.

Long was most recently president of global unscripted TV at eOne, with credits on shows such MTV’s Ex On The Beach and A&E’s Biggie: The Life Of Notorious BIG.

Her exit comes ahead of eOne’s acquisition by Lionsgate, which is expected to close at the end of this month.

US trade Deadline, which broke the news, reported that Long is set to launch a new label at Blink49 Studios, the Stateside venture launched by fellow eOne alum, John Morayniss.

eOne’s workforce was cut again earlier this month ahead of the Lionsgate deal being formally wrapped, with around 10% of staff set to be let go.

The move was the second round of cuts to hit eOne this year, after the Yellowjackets group slashed 20% of its staff in June, prior to owner Hasbro striking the sale to Lionsgate.
