Jewish streamer ChaiFlicks lands Yes Studios dramas ‘Shtisel’ and ‘Fire Dance’

ChaiFlicks, the streaming service dedicated to Jewish content, has picked up Yes Studios dramas Shtisel and Fire Dance.

The deal will see all three seasons of Shtisel become available in the US, Australia and New Zealand, starting wiht the first run which launces 14 December.

Fire Dance will be available in the same three countries plus Canada, making its debut on ChaiFlicks in early 2024.

Shtisel follows the lives of a closely-knit ultra-Orthodox family in Jerusalem and was created by Ori Elon and Yehonatan Indursky, with Abot Hameiri Barkai and Yes TV producing.

Fire Dance marked the first TV series from Israeli filmmaker Rama Burshtein-Shai (The Wedding Plan) and is a coming-of-age story of a young, troubled woman, in a tight knit ultra-orthodox religious sect. It made its global debut at Series Mania in 2022 and was produced by Kuma Studios and Yes TV.

ChaiFlicks, which was co-founded by Neil Friedman and Bill Weiner in 2020, has been expanding its offering recently and is preparing to debut shows including Match Made in Heaven and documentary Divorce Denied.

The streamer also recently debuted its first original series, with an order for unscripted culinary show Schmoozing And Cruising. The service is available in North America, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
