‘Holey Moley’ & ‘The Mole’ prodco Eureka Productions promotes David Tibballs
Australia- and US-based Eureka Productions has rejigged its senior team following the exit of president Eden Gaha last month.
David Tibballs has been named EVP of programming & development at the prodco and will lead production on all US shows, with a remit to also expand the slate.
Tibballs, who previously worked for Cineflix as VP of factual entertainment, joined Eureka in 2021 as SVP of programming. He is showrunner on the US remake of the The Mole for Netflix and Fox’s Farmer Wants A Wife.
He reports into Eureka co-CEO’s Chris Culver and Paul Franklin, and will work alongside Jeanne Petrone-Arzubiaga, SVP of production & post.
Tibballs previously worked on shows including the BBC’s version of Dragons’ Den and Stylish for HBO Max. He has also had stints at Endemol Shine Group and Authentic Entertainment.
Franklin said: “As our output continues to expand in the US, it is important for us to have someone with David’s experience and leadership to oversee our cross-platform production slate, while ensuring we continue to grow our pipeline of new shows in development.”
The rejig comes two months after Gaha’s departure was revealed. The former Endemol Shine North America exec had joined last year to lead on US expansion, but has returned to producing and showrunning.
Gaha’s exit came a day after Nick Contino, VP of development and programming, confirmed he was leaving the company due to restructuring.
