Nick Contino, VP of development and programming at Fremantle-backed Australian-American label Eureka Productions, exited the company yesterday after more than seven years, due to restructuring at the firm.

LA-based Contino helped to launch Eureka in 2016, starting as a development manager, before being promoted to director of development and programming in 2019 and then to VP in 2022.

During his time at the company, he has worked on unscripted titles including Farmer Wants A Wife and The Real Dirty Dancing for Fox, The Mole and Dating Around for Netflix, Holey Moley for ABC, The Real Love Boat for CBS, and Full Bloom and Finding Magic Mike for HBO Max.

Before joining Eureka, which is led by co-CEOs Chris Culvenor and Paul Franklin, Contino served as a development coordinator Endemol Shine North America, and also held roles at Shine America, and FremantleMedia.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Eureka’s growth from a tiny office in West LA to an international powerhouse. Special thanks to Chris and Paul for their guidance & support over the years,” said Contino, who TBI named as a ‘Rising Star’ at the 2020 Content Innovation Awards.

“I’ve enjoyed every minute of my time here, collaborating with you all on exciting projects and overcoming creative challenges together. Thank you for making this journey unforgettable.

“I’m currently open to exploring new opportunities and would greatly appreciate it if you keep me in mind if a role becomes available. Restructurings are hard, but they often lead to new adventures.”
