Full Bloom and Name That Tune outfit Eureka Productions has hired former Endemol Shine North America exec Eden Gaha as its president.

Gaha takes up the role on 1 June and will report to Eureka’s co-CEOs Chris Culvenor and Paul Franklin, working from the Fremantle-backed company’s offices in LA.

Gaha founded Mother Media Group in 2017, working on shows such as All Or Nothing: New Zealand All Blacks for Amazon Prime and most recently served as showrunner on Eureka’s Frogger for Peacock.

Before that, he was president of unscripted television for Endemol Shine North America, where he was behind MasterChef for Fox, NBC’s The Biggest Loser and Hunted for CBS, among numerous others.

Prior to that, Gaha spent five seasons as showrunner and executive producer for Mark Burnett Productions on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice, as well as co-executive producing The Contender, Pirate Master and Rock Star.

Culvenor and Franklin said Gaha’s addition would help “position us for a new phase of growth”, adding that the exec “shares… our ambition to accelerate Eureka’s international expansion while continuing to deliver world-class unscripted shows for our partners.”

Eureka was founded in 2016 by Culvenor and Franklin with backing from Fremantle, which took a majority share in the company in 2021. The company has since grown a portfolio of over 40 series for network, streaming, cable, and digital platforms in the US, Canada, and Australia.

Shows include dating competition series The Real Love Boat, which is being produced locally for CBS in the US and Network Ten in Australia, as well as a fourth season of golf show Holey Moley for ABC in the US.

Eureka has also taken on the development and production of all Fremantle’s entertainment, reality, and game show formats in Australia, including local versions of Got Talent and Idol.
