TVNZ’s ‘Down For Love’ heads to Netflix following TVF global sale
Netflix has picked up TVNZ show Down For Love, the dating series that follows people with Down Syndrome as they search for partners.
The 5 x 46-minute show is produced by Attitude Pictures and follows ten people living with Down Syndrome on a quest to find love and companionship.
Over the course of five episodes, the budding Romeos and Juliettes embark on a series of dates – for some their first ever – and gather advice from family, friends, experts and other couples along the way.
TVF International struck the deal, which will see the show available globally outside of New Zealand.
Poppy McAlister, TVF’s head, said “Down For Love is a one-of-a-kind series which celebrates love and the bravery of all those bold enough to go looking for it.
“There is no production company better equipped to tell these stories than Attitude, the global leader in disability-first programming, who TVF has been delighted to work with and champion diversity alongside for over 15 years.”
