Endemol Shine Brasil appoints Caroline Dibe as head of ESG

Endemol Shine Brasil has hired Caroline Dibe as head of ESG (environmental, social and governance) at the Banijay-owned company.

Dibe joins the São Paulo-based firm to expand upon its ESG practices and promote an inclusive and ethical working environment across all of the production company’s operations, in addition to its commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its activities.

Over the course of her 19 year career, Dibe has served as a corporate consultant, working at Brazilian investor relations firm Stone and fintech company Dock, where she was head of people experience, culture and communication, and went on to take over the sustainability agenda of the company, as head of ESG.

“When we understand ESG as a culture, from an operations point of view, it means that in our mental model we must already consider the aspects that involve environmental impact from the planning stage, through the choice of locations to waste management. It is not a parallel activity to our operating model, but an integral part of our way of thinking about production”, said Dibe.

“Being able to rely on a person who has a keen eye for issues of inclusion, diversity and sustainability is a natural path that is being followed by the entire Banijay group and, here in Brazil, we could not be left out of this movement,” added Nani Freitas, CEO of Endemol Shine Brasil.

“Carol has a baggage full of knowledge and will certainly bring innovation and allow Endemol Shine Brasil to implement new important and relevant measures for the near future.”

Endemol Shine Brasil is behind titles such as MasterChef, The Masked Singer, Canta Comigo, Rolling Kitchen, Casamento à Cegas, The Bridge Brasil and Big Brother Brasil.
