Stan extends Lionsgate deal

Australian streamer Stan has expanded its partnership with Lionsgate with a multi-year output deal that hands it rights to espionage drama Gray and Julia Roberts-starring Gaslit.

The first-run deal hands Stan a raft of dramas from Starz and Lionsgate, as well as films exclusive to local audiences.

It is the second output deal over recent months for Stan, which struck a deal with Sony Pictures Television earlier this year.

Cineflix strikes CEE sales

LNK Lithuania and FTV Prime in the Czech Republic are among broadcasters to have picked up shows from Cineflix Rights ahead of NATPE Budapest, which starts today.

LNK has added history documentaries and series including Battle Of Alcatraz, The Far Traveller and Secrets Of The Nazi U-Boat Bases, while FTV Prima had acquired shows such as Close Encounters Down Under and Hitler’s American Battleground.

Other deals have seen Canal+ buy Holiday Homes In The Sun for its NC+ (Domo+) channel in Poland, as well as The Mysterious Mr Lagerfeld for its streaming platform covering the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

AMC has also been in among the deals, snagging shows ranging from Beyond The Farm: Men At Work to Hitler’s Engineers: Building The Third Reich.

Autentic expands FAST

German media firm Autentic is expanding its FAST offering with four new channels.

Spiegel TV Konflikte, a joint venture between Autentic and Spiegel TV, is now available in German-speaking countries, while Adventure Earth, Autentic History and Autentic Travel will be available in the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and the Netherlands.

The launches follow Autentic and OneGate Media’s launch of nature and wildlife channel Adventure Earth in the UK. From July, the channel will also be available in Belgium.

Founded in 2008, Munich-based Autentic is a joint venture between Patrick Hörl and Jan Mojto’s Beta Film.

The expansion was was announced today by Autentic at Sunny Side of the Doc, the international documentary marketplace that begins in La Rochelle, France, today.
