Hulu adds 20th Television comedy ‘Deli Boys’ via Onyx Collective

Disney’s Onyx Collective brand has picked up 20^th Television comedy pilot Deli Boys to series to stream on Hulu.

The 10 x 30-minute series was created by Abdullah Saeed and developed by Jenni Konner and Nora Silver under Jenni Konner Productions. Michelle Nader, who also serves as showrunner, is an executive producer alongside Saeed, Konner and Silver.

Nisha Ganatra is executive producer and director on the pilot, with Vali Chandrasekaran as a non-writing executive producer on the pilot.

The show, which will stream exclusively on Hulu in the US, Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ in all other territories, follows a pair of pampered Pakistani-American brothers whose lose everything when their convenience store-magnate father suddenly dies.

The two are suddenly forced to reckon with their Baba’s secret life of crime as they attempt to take up his mantle in the underworld.

Asif Ali, Saagar Shaikh, Alfie Fuller, Brian George and Poorna Jagannathan star in the series.

Headed up by Tara Duncan, Onyx Collective was launched by Disney in 2021 as a content brand for Hulu to champion creators of colour and underrepresented voices.
