AMC Networks strikes FAST deal with Chicken Soup to expand ‘Walking Dead’ & ‘Portlandia’ channels

AMC Networks is extending its FAST play by striking new deals for channels offering shows ranging from The Walking Dead to Portlandia.

The pact with Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment will see 12 of AMC’s FAST channels become available via the Redbox Free Live TV service, which is set to carry more than 200 channels by early summer including The Jamie Oliver Channel and Supermarket Sweep from Fremantle.

The AMC channels heading to Redbox Live TV include: The Walking Dead Universe, which offers interviews and behind-the-scenes moments; Portlandia, which offers all episodes of the hit series; and Stories by AMC, which carries library series.

Also on offer is: AMC Thrillers; Slightly Off IFC; IFC Films Picks; All Reality WE tv; All Weddings WE tv; AMC en Español; ALLBLK Gems; MSG SportsZone; and Anime X HIDIVE.

Chicken Soup acquired Redbox in August for $375m but has seen its share price slump from almost $15 in August to $1.59 yesterday.
