Telemundo Global’s Marcos Santana launches gaming & esports firm

Marcos Santana, former president of Telemundo Global Studios, has founded Mas Ros Media, a new production company focused on gaming and esports.

Mas Ros Media has debuted by striking a strategic alliance with Spain’s Reset TV, taking exclusive rights to more than 250 formats, including unscripted hit Operation Triumph. Owners Toni Cruz and Josep Maria Mainat are currently working on developing a gameshow and reality format aimed at gamers.

Santana’s new firm has also struck an agreement with Latin American and Spanish post-production firm La Corte and taken a major stake in Latin American esports company FireSports.

“My focus has always been to raise the quality of Hispanic and Latino content. My commitment now is to do it not only with higher quality: but with responsibility, with a clear purpose, and to connect with a young and sensible audience living a whole new reality,” said Santana.

The company is also launching the Mas Ros Creative Hub, a centre for creators from all media disciplines worldwide, which will be based on a farm located in Catalonia, Spain.
