Argentina’s StoryLab lands Fox, Disney alum to lead international expansion

Eugenia Link

La Casa Del Mar producer StoryLab has hired former Fox Latin America and Walt Disney exec Eugenia Link to oversee a new division focused on international expansion.

The Argentina-based prodco, whose output includes upcoming Disney+ drama Ringo, is looking to “broaden its international horizons, develop new ideas and establish ties with the main industry agents” as it focuses on drama for the global market.

Link will lead the international division, reporting to StoryLab chiefs Nacho Viale and Diego Palacio.

She has most recently been consulting for streamers in North and Latin America, having held roles across two decades at Fox Latin American Channels and The Walt Disney Company.

“The main strategy will be to strengthen the portfolio of projects in development with potential for the international market, focusing on local stories that cross borders, that represent different audiences and have a hallmark of both narrative and artistic quality,” Link said.

The exec will be looking to expand relationships with authors and strike more co-productions, working with both networks and streamers.

Viale added: “We have been working on building an international unit for several years and we feel that this is the natural step we have to take to consolidate those efforts, as we seek new opportunities and enhance the fiction we generate.”

StoryLab has been behind shows such as Estocolmo for Netflix and is in pre-production on Frágiles, an eight-episode drama that explores a series of murders in a town in Argentina. It will debut on local streamer Flow this year.
