Eskola joins Fremantle from Warner Bros. International TV Production in Finland, where she was head of scripted.

She has worked on shows including YLE’s Soundtrack Of Love, MTV’s Welcome to Texas and Man In Room 301 for Elisa Viihde.

Eskola said: “It is like coming home as I used to work with the company and the daily drama series Secret Lives as a director many years ago. Fremantle has a large drama selection and also makes the number one in Finnish daily drama, and this is the perfect environment to develop new Finnish scripted series.

“I want to use my long experience in drama development and have intensive cooperation with directors and editors,” she added.

Jarkko Luoma, CEO Fremantle Finland, said that the hire was part of the company’s strategy to expand its international drama production.
